OMG! Publicity founder, owner and Chief Publicist, Beth Hood-Fromm, began her PR career working for Tennessee’s Department of Education as Governor Sunquist’s appointed ‘Drug-Free-TN’ spokesperson in 2000. Travelling over 60,000 miles per year across the state of Tennessee, Beth represented the state’s drug-free initiative to school-aged children, businesses, organizations, and community leaders.
After graduating with her degree in communications, Beth continued the modeling career she had enjoyed since the age of 13, appearing in such publications as Vogue, Elle, and Seventeen; and in 2003, placed runner-up to the title of Miss USA. Deciding it was time to work behind the camera, Beth helped launch the career of a now well-known fashion photographer and exposed his work globally.
Taking that experience in media relations and combining her love of books, Beth began her book publicity career at Thomas Nelson Publishing in Nashville, TN, representing a wide variety of genres including children’s books, gift, cookbooks, fashion & beauty, travel, gardening, biography, and spiritual living. During her time at Thomas Nelson, Beth worked with top-name authors such as Max Lucado, Deborah Norville, Wolfgang Puck, Chef Art Smith, Scott Hamilton, and Janine Turner.
In December of 2008, Beth started OMG Publicity. Now ten years later, the firm has worked with an impressive client list that includes relationship guru Dr. Gary Chapman, Oprah’s personal party-planner Debi Lilly, pop musicians Smash Mouth and Megan Trainor, former Bachelorette Emily Maynard, Hollywood executive DeVon Franklin and wife Meagan Good, and simplification darling Emily Ley. Beth continues the long-standing legacy of trusted friend and ally to the publishing industry and media and on top of her day-to-day responsibilities as publicist, now adds the title of 'Professor' at Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee, where she teaches media relations and branding to a bright group of young men and women eager to begin their careers in publishing.
Beth resides in Franklin, TN, with her Emmy, Grammy, and Dove-Award winning songwriter husband, Andrew Fromm and their son, Hudson.
